Two Things on a Tuesday

1. OUT OF THE WILD by Sarah Beth Durst is wildly outstanding. This twist of fairy tale people living in the modern world is clever, exciting and fun. If it's possible, OUT OF THE WILD was even better than the first book, INTO THE WILD. Readers of all ages will find these books as delicious as their favorite dessert. They're modern classics and deserving of big awards.

2. I have an ongoing book-giveaway contest three times a year (Halloween, Valentine's Day, 4th July). The winner of my 4th of July book raffle was Carol Mintz of PA. She chose my STRANGE ENCOUNTERS series. I'm mailing out her book prize today!

My book giveaway is ongoing. Every Valentines Day, Halloween and 4th of July.

I don't announce it often because I have regulars who enter every few months and want to respect their support. Anyone who goes to my website will see the contest info (only an email to me with contest entry and your address is all you need to enter).

The odds of winning are usually very good. I had just 13 entrants this time. The next giveaway is Halloween.

You can enter anytime. I save the entries and then choose one randomly from a drawing on the 3 holiday dates.

I love the idea of holiday giveaways! And I love Halloween. Is this like the most popular holiday ever these days?

I've always liked Halloween a lot, mostly though, because it's near my birthday. My best friend and I have the same birthday so that was always special to us.

I don't usually get a lot of entries in the contest, but like having it as a thank-you for readers who take the time to check out my website.
